Matuku's Island

On Sunday afternoon Bryan and I along with Diana and Jay took the boys to Matuku's island out in Chandler. The boys had such a blast at Matuku's Island. Logan, Caden, and Lenny were all over the place. As soon as we walked through the front door Caden and Logan were no where to be found. It took Lenny a little bit of time but as soon as he started warming up to the idea he was gone to. We even lost Bryan and Jay for a time being because they were busy sliding through tubes and crossing bridges with the boys. Diana and I even got in on the action and climbed up one of the high towers to go down one of their twisty slides. I never felt so out of shape in my life. There was one slide that Diana and I went on that put us flat on our backs. We came out of the slide so fast that there was no time to react. Here are some pictures of the boys having a blast:

Dirty Boys Hard At Work!

It's official! We finally got our sticker up on the window. It looks like a real shop now. It's so exciting the fact that I can come into work when I want and not have a care in the world as to what I'm wearing or who's with me. When I took this picture I didn't notice that Caden was standing by the door until I just uploaded it onto here. How funny!

It's so wonderful the fact that I can take the boys to work with me and not have anyone tell me or them what to do. They can run around and get dirty and just be boys. I love this freedom that I have in my life.

No Mom! I wasn't in the white powder. Don't worry it's not anything that will make him grow a third eye or anything.

Logan, what a messy face!

Who Me?

Aren't they just the cutest little dirty boys you've ever seen?

Zane even has his own special spot over by the printer. Since we have moved to the shop all of his therapists have been great with the move and even come to the shop to see Mr. Zane.

Is this a warehouse or a kiddie day camp?

I do work. It's not all fun and games but it's great to know that I can take my children to work and that they can come home as filthy as they want at the end of the day without a care in the world!

Happy Halloween!

Friday was quite the adventure for me. Let me begin my story with Thursday morning. On Thursday Zane was at home with the nurse for the day because Mondays and Thursdays are the days that she watches him for me while I'm at work. Teri (the nurse) called me around 12:00pm and said that Zane was running a fever off and on since earlier in the morning and it seemed to only be subsiding when Tylenol was given. My first thought on this was "Oh No!" "Here we go again!" Zane continued to feel bad the rest of the day and night with little improvement in the fever department. Unfortunately since I only get the nurse two times a week I have to bring him to work with me. He didn't feel well and in the back of my mind I knew that it was going to be a bad day. Sure enough around 10:00 he went into a full blown seizure that I was unable to stop. I packed Caden and Zane up and drove to the closest hospital. It took them in the emergency room about an hour to stop his seizure. I was not to happy with this hospital for the fact that they were not up to speed on what to do with him. I finally asked if they were going to give him something to stop him from seizing because it wasn't going to just stop on it's own. I was really ticked to say the least and I will probably never go to that hospital again when it concerns Zane. On the other hand they got the seizure to finally stop and they did a few breathing treatments with him to get his breathing under control. They technically wanted to admit him to Phoenix Children's but I said that he's fine and I didn't feel that he needed to be admitted for observation. The doctor finally agreed with me and let us go home. We were discharged about 6 hours later from Banner Estrella. It's about 5:30pm by the time I got out of there so I had to race back to the shop pick up Zane's feeding supplies and medicines and race over to my parents house to meet Bryan and the boys for trick or treating. Even though the morning and afternoon were very chaotic we still had a great time trick or treating with the boys. Zane unfortunately didn't get to go but I am determined to dress him up in his costume to at least take a picture within the next few days. I will be posting it then. Here are a few pictures of the boys trick or treating around my parents neighborhood. They were such a cute pair. An alien and an astronaut.
