Logan's Birthday Bash!

This year we decided to have Logan's birthday party at the Estrella Mountain Regional Park. For weeks I had contemplated on reserving a ramada but decided against it because there is hardly anyone there most of the time. Boy, was I wrong. The one time I decided not to reserve a ramada everyone and their mother was there. Every ramada was reserved plus to top it off Boy Scouts of America was there doing their annual campout. Not only were all the ramadas taken but there were about a million tents set up and about a million little boys running around. I couldn't believe it. After having some of my party guests drive around to look for any available ramada we finally decided to host the party on some picnic benches. It wasn't that bad because the picnic benches were near the bathrooms and the playground. There was also a bbq near by and a huge tree where we hung the pinata from. Although the location was a little messed up this year we still had a great time. It can't always be perfect! Right? Here are some pictures of Logan's pirate party.

The cutest cake ever!

Made of cupcakes of course!

A cute treasure chest pinata to go with the pirate theme.

All the kids waiting to have their turn at bashing the pinata.

Logan and Lenny posing with the pinata.

Logan taking another swing at the pinata

Jeremy and Zane hanging out in the tent. Spoiled little boys they are.

Songs of Love!

For those of you who have a sick child or know someone who does, there is an organization called Songs of Love who will create a song strictly about that child. This organization pairs your child with a muscisian and they create a song with your childs name, family member names, and likes of the child. The organization called me and asked me how to pronounce each name so that they would get it right on the cd. They created Zane's song and put it on a cd and sent it to me in the mail. His song turned out really cute. Here is Zane's song:

You're a happy boy when you're clapping your hands
How you love the monkeys, they make you laugh
listening to the music always making you smile
cooing or yelling, you're one special child
Zane, Zane, what a wonderful name
For a sweet little boy, making our day
Zane, Zane, as we're watching you play
You bring us sunshine, every day
Jennifer and Bryan, your sweet mom and dad
Tata and Nana, are making you glad
Logan and Caden and Grandma are here
Uncle Michael, Aunt Yvonne, Give you a cheer
Zane, Zane, what a wonderful name
For a sweet little boy, making our day
Zane, Zane, as we're watching you play
You bring us sunshine, every day
Hank will be your friend in the sun or the rain
What a great doggie, he wants to play
Arizona sun is shining on you
Warming your toes, all your fingers, too
Zane, Zane, what a wonderful name
For a sweet little boy, making our day
Zane, Zane, as we're watching you play
You bring us sunshine, every day

Valentine Cards and More!

This year will be Logan's first Valentines day in a classroom setting. He was so excited to get his Valentine cards so that he could address each one of them and add a lollipop for sweetness. He had the best time and he kept saying over and over that he can't wait till tomorrow because that's when his class is having their party. Guess what characters are on his Valentine cards??

Spider-man of course and you guessed it Transformers.

I felt bad for the little girls in his class but I'm sure he'll have plenty of High School Musical, Bratz, and Hannah Montana.

Happy Valentine's Day

Reflections of a Beautiful Evening.

This picture is of the Gila river that runs at the base of the Estrella Mountains which is right below our home. Even though the river is almost dry it still makes for a pretty picture.
