Damn, Damn, Damn Insurance!

Well about a month ago I posted a post about how excited I was that I finally got the oxygen that I had been asking for. Don't get me wrong I am still excited over this since it is so difficult to get it in the first place. Now we are having a problem with getting this little machine:

This machine is called a pulse oximeter. This machine reads the oxygen in Zane's blood. Without this the nurse can not justify on when to give Zane the oxygen. Therefore she is unable to use the oxygen until the insurance finds a reason as to why we need this machine. "HELLO" We should not have gotten the oxygen if they will not approve the pulse ox. These two items go hand in hand. The insurance company is trying it's best to deny this machine but my nurse and doctor are fighting them. Wish us luck and cross your fingers that the insurance company will come to their idiotic senses.

UPDATE:

Pulse ox was approved! Yay!

A Love Hate Relationship

I have a love hate relationship with this object:

I love it for the fact that it provides something for my son that I am unable to provide. Nutrition!

I hate it because it does this to me:

and this:

Why this object feels the need to beat me in unknown to me. Since we have brought it home it hits me in my shins and even tripped me outside my parents house and slammed into the back of my leg. Hence the bruise in the above picture. Since it's something my son can not live without I guess I will have to suffer the abuse that this object feels the need to give me. Sigh................!

Back To School!

For me that is! I have decided to finally go back to school to get my degree done in nursing. Before Zane was born this was my plan. Once Zane was born those plans got put on the back burner and haven't been touched since. Since our lives had been completely turned upside down with his presence into this world, which I wouldn't change in a heartbeat, school was the last thing on my mind. I promised myself that when things got situated and everything calmed down I would go back. So here I go! I am going to be taking one class this semester, one next semester and then one in the summer. Unfortunately the three classes I have left are hard ones and can not be taken together. At least that's what the teachers and others have warned. So taking their advice it will set me back a little bit but it's not like I haven't waited two years as it is. I have these three classes and then the two year nursing program left. So wish me luck everyone! Human Anatomy here I come! :)

Happy 30th Birthday Bryan

Last night Bryan and I, Jay and Diana, Amy and Kyle, and Stephanie and Eric all went out to eat at Benihana's for Bryan's 30th Birthday. We had a great time with everyone except for the fact that I got sick during dinner. The plan was to go to the Sandbar after dinner to meet up with Michaela and Cameo. Unfortunately since I got sick we had to cut it short and leave after dinner. We still had a great time out even though we didn't get to finish our plans. Here are some pictures from our dinner.

Pictures From A Dad And Son's Point Of View

The other day Bryan and I took the boys for a drive to take some pictures. Ever since my husband got his new camera this has become a new favorite of ours. It's nice just to get out and be in the fresh air and away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The boys also love being out in the middle of nowhere so they call it. We ended up driving out towards Buckeye and found a trail that took us to a extinct volcano. Logan who was also strapped with a camera of his own followed Bryan around on the volcano and almost snapped the same shots as his dad. Here are the pictures from our outing.
